The purpose of this contract is to lay down the GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT for the online booking service of HOTELES CATALONIA, S.A., holder of corporate taxpayer number A-58169152 and domiciled at C/ Castellnou, 61, 08017 Barcelona (tel. 900 30 10 78). The terms "you" and "User" are used here to refer to whatsoever individual logging on to www.hoteles-catalonia.com (hereinafter called the Website) for whatsoever reason or using the services provided via the portal.
The use of these services shall imply the full, unreserved acceptance and validity of all the General Terms and Conditions of Contract laid down in the last updated version of these General Terms and Conditions.
As a client, you hereby declare that you are of full legal age and have sufficient legal capacity for being bound by these General Terms and Conditions of Contract when subscribing to a contract with HOTELES CATALONIA.
HOTELES CATALONIA hereby gives notice that the procedures for obtaining the services offered are those described in these General Terms and Conditions of Contract, as well as the other specific terms and conditions displayed on screen while browsing the Website. Accordingly, you hereby declare that you are aware of and accept the said procedures as necessary for contracting the services offered via the Website.

2.1. Online booking service
2.1.1. Online booking service. The purpose of the online booking service is the reservation of a room at any of the hotels owned or run by HOTELES CATALONIA. The use of these services shall imply the full, unreserved acceptance and validity of all the General Terms and Conditions of Contract laid down in the last updated version of these General Terms and Conditions.
2.1.2. Contracting procedure. When using the service, the User shall receive a confirmation e-mail with his/her booking location number. This e-mail shall be valid as a receipt for the booking and as confirmation of acceptance.
2.1.3. Cancellation policy and guarantee. The bookings made via this Website shall be guaranteed by the credit card provided by the User on the form. Failure to appear at check-in or late cancellation (less than 24 hours' notice) shall imply the automatic charge to the credit card of the amount corresponding to one night, as well as the cancellation of the booking.
In order to cancel a booking, you can contact our central booking service by phoning 900 30 10 78 from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 20:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00. Outside these times, please contact your resort hotel directly.
2.1.4. The prices given generally refer to the price per room per night. This does not apply to hotels located on the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands and in the Caribbean, where the prices are indicated per person. Information about VAT or other equivalent indirect taxes is provided.
2.2. Using the services
The User hereby undertakes to use the services in accordance with legislation, morality, good practices and public order, as well as with the provisions laid down in these General Terms and Conditions of Contract. Accordingly, the User hereby undertakes not to use the services for illegal purposes and/or purposes that are contrary to the provisions laid down in these General Terms and Conditions of Contract, damaging to the rights and/or interests of third parties or for purposes which may damage the services, HOTELES CATALONIA and/or the image thereof in whatsoever way.
2.3. System changes
To improve the convenience and benefits for users, HOTELES CATALONIA may unilaterally modify the services provided or the terms and conditions governing the operation, techniques and use of the services at any given time and without prior notice.

In fulfilment of the provisions laid down by Organic Statute 15/1999 governing the protection of personal data (in Spanish, LOPD) and consolidating legislation, as well as the Spanish Electronic Commerce and Information Society Services Act 34/2002, HOTELES CATALONIA, S.A., holder of corporate taxpayer number A-58169152, hereby gives notice of the following:

The personal data collected through the various forms included on www.hoteles-catalonia.com shall be included in computer files owned by this company in order to provide you with our best service and inform you of our services and promotions with your prior consent, which is understood as given with the acceptance of the terms and conditions laid down on the said forms.
3.2. In accordance with current legislation, this file has been registered in the General Data Protection Register.
3.3. HOTELES CATALONIA, S.A. shall not transfer your personal data to third parties without your express consent. Notwithstanding the foregoing and where applicable, HOTELES CATALONIA, S.A. may transfer your personal data to the other companies that form part of the HOTELES CATALONIA chain (www.hoteles-catalonia.com) for the same purposes as those indicated above for the collection of personal data by HOTELES CATALONIA, S.A., where the confidentiality of the computer processing of the personal data shall be guaranteed at all times in accordance with the provisions laid down in this Personal Data Protection Policy.
3.4. The User hereby assumes responsibility for the truthfulness of the personal data provided to HOTELES CATALONIA, S.A. and for notifying whatsoever modification thereto.

Should whichsoever of the clauses laid down in these General Terms and Conditions of Contract be declared null and void or rendered ineffective, the remaining General Terms and Conditions shall hold their effect under the agreed terms. No clause laid down in this contract shall affect the provisions governing consumers under any circumstances. If you are not a consumer, you hereby expressly waive your right to abandonment.

The User is aware that the use of the online booking service implies the full and unreserved acceptance of each of the clauses laid down in the Regulations of Use of the Website as published by HOTELES CATALONIA at the time when the User contracts the service. The said regulations of use complete these General Terms and Conditions with regard to all the provisions that do not oppose the said General Terms and Conditions. Accordingly, the User shall be aware of the importance of consulting the regulations laid down on this page before accessing and/or using these services.
